KSDAR Scholarships

Two scholarships for the 2021 – 2022 academic year will be offered by the Kansas Society DAR. The applications are due by February 1, 2022 to Anne Seitz, State Scholarship Chair. Send requests for an application to anneseitz980@yahoo.com

The KSDAR scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior in an accredited high school who has eligibility or is a member of DAR. Sponsorship by a DAR chapter is recommended. The applicant must attend a two or four-year accredited college or university in the fall after receiving the award. Four written references are required. The scholarship is a one-time award of $1,500.00.

The Judd Smith Brooks Scholarship shall be awarded annually to a male senior high school student who is a descendent of a proven DAR line. A letter of recommendation from a DAR chapter and sponsorship of a DAR chapter is also recommended. Proof of enrollment in a two or four-year accredited college or university shall be required. The Brooks Scholarship is a one-time award of $1,000.00

NSDAR Scholarships

Each year the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of higher education in diverse areas of study, including history, economics, law, political science, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, elementary and secondary education, chemistry, math, science, and English.

Applicants must be citizens of the United States to apply for a scholarship offered by the DAR Scholarship Committee.  Applicants must also attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States.

An applicant will use the DAR Scholarship’s online submission platform on the DAR public website to submit their scholarship application. The online submission process will open on November 1, 2021 and close on January 31, 2022 at midnight (Eastern Standard Time).
