Prairie Rose Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution

 

Our Chapter

Chapter meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, September through May, at 7:00 p.m., in Overland Park, Kansas.

The chapter has the following special events in its program year:

  • December - "Mini Bazaar" for craft and gift items
  • January - "Members Only" meeting for elections, reporting, etc.
  • February - Youth Awards
  • July - VA Bingo Party, Leavenworth Veterans Administration Medical Center
  • Periodic - Citizenship Court Hostess, Kansas City, Kansas

Prairie Rose is proud to have three state Outstanding Juniors chosen from its membership. A DAR member is called a Junior member until her 36th birthday. These active young women are very important to DAR, serving as pages at state and national events, and raising tens of thousands of dollars each year for academic scholarships.
