ABOUT DAR

The Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit, volunteer service organization lending their talents to a variety of endeavors, centered around the stated objectives of DAR:
Education, Patriotism, and Historic Preservation.

Each of the nearly 3,000 DAR chapters around the world lend their talent and support to the work of the National Society.

OUR CHAPTER

The Martha Loving Ferrell Chapter has proudly served its community as Daughters of the American Revolution since October 26, 1937. Our chapter was named for the daughter of Randolph Loving, a Revolutionary soldier serving with George Washington at Valley Forge. Leda Marie Ferrell Rex, a founding member who was serving as State Regent at that time, was the great-granddaughter of Martha Loving Ferrell.

Our chapter welcomes membership inquiries and we will be happy to help you in your effort to join DAR. Contact us to attend one of our meetings. Our meetings are usually held at noon, on the fourth Friday of the month, September through May.

JOINING DAR

Any woman age 18 or older, who can demonstrate lineage from a person who aided in achieving American independence, is eligible to join DAR. Complete information on eligibility is located on the NSDAR website.
