Isabella Weldin Chapter was organized on 14 June 1929 at the home of Helen Margaret (Skaer) Etnire, Augusta, Kansas. Mrs. Etnire was the first regent and the chapter was named in honor of her great-great-grandmother, Isabella Weldin (Weldon). Isabella Weldin was the wife of James Adams, who served in the Army of Pennsylvania as Captain, assisting with establishing American Independence.

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a volunteer service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America’s future through better education for children.
